Bringing Lifesaving Preparedness Directly Into Jewish Communities

JRI Community Preparedness Events bring practical, hands-on lifesaving training directly to synagogues, Jewish Communities, Jewish schools, organizations, and gatherings. These sessions are designed for everyday people, no medical background or previous experience is needed.

Participants learn essential skills such as CPR, AED use, choking response, severe bleeding control, and how to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies. But this is more than a traditional CPR class. The training is built around Jewish communal life, using situations that could happen during services, community meals, Hebrew school, the High Holidays, and other Jewish gatherings.

The goal is simple: make lifesaving knowledge more common throughout Jewish life. We want parents, congregants, teachers, students, staff, and volunteers to have the confidence to step forward when someone needs help.

JRI brings communities together to learn, practice, and become better prepared to protect one another—because preparedness is something we can build together.

JRi PREPAREDNESS class

It starts with a synagogue, school, community center, or Jewish organization inviting JRI into their community. We work with community leadership to understand the space, the people attending, and the types of emergencies they want their members to be better prepared for.

From there, JRI builds a preparedness session around that community. The training focuses on practical lifesaving skills such as CPR, AED use, choking response, severe bleeding control, and recognizing serious medical emergencies, while applying those skills to situations that could realistically happen in Jewish communal settings.

On the day of the event, JRI comes directly to the community and leads an engaging, hands-on group session. Participants don't just listen, they practice skills, ask questions, work through realistic situations, and learn what they can actually do when someone around them needs help.

By the end of the event, the goal is simple: send people home more knowledgeable, more confident, and better prepared to protect the people around them. One event can give an entire congregation or community a stronger foundation of lifesaving preparedness.
